Nasal Washing as Important as Flossing: Oasis Nasal Wash

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Washing your nasal cavities is proven to reduce the amount of sinus related infections.  Nasal washing is great for adults and children suffering from minor to chronic allergies, and sinus related problems.  Like flossing, it’s a method of prevention.

Oasis nasal spray and wash, available for children and adults, provides a natural alternative to over-the-counter congestion medicine, prescription allergy medication, and allergy shots.  Oasis provides the benefit of relief, without annoying side-affects.  And unlike many over-the-counter and prescription nasal products, Oasis doesn’t cause dependency, so it’s safe for all ages.

Oasis nasal spray and wash are made from all-natural Dead Sea salts, proven to reduce inflammation, causing healthier nasal passages and cavities.  With an abundance of over-the-counter and prescription nasal sprays on the market, Oasis is the only natural alternative, made from Dead Sea salts, rather than saline.  Most commonly used, hypertonic saline is known to cause cilia damage in the nasal passages, which lowers your ability to fight off infection.

Oasis nasal wash, to be used when symptoms are more severe, can help repair past damage to the nasal passages, and well as prevent future symptoms.  Once symptoms are under control, Oasis nasal spray can help in the maintenance of symptoms, such as post-nasal drip, runny and stuffy nose, and sinus discomfort.

Oasis Nasal Spray Uses Dead Sea Salt; Better than Saline

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Oasis Nasal Spray and Wash products are made with Dead Sea salts; a natural alternative to the saline solutions used in popular over-the-counter and prescription nasal sprays.  For hundreds of years, Otolaryngologists have used salt and saline solutions to prevent and treat nasal allergies and sinus problems.  The hypertonic saline solution most popularly used has been shown to be harmful to the nasal cavity cilium. (A microscopic hair-like process extending from the surface of a cell or unicellular organism. Capable of rhythmical motion, it acts in unison with other such structures to bring about the movement of the cell or of the surrounding medium.) Cilium is essential for good respiration, circulation and movement of body fluids.

The Dead Sea brine is characterized by a unique chemical composition, made up of proportionately more calcium, magnesium, bromine, and potassium than any other ocean.  A variety of respiratory and skin conditions are treated at the Dead Sea; helping by minimizing inflammation.  This unique solution, not found naturally anywhere but the Dead Sea, has been shown to provide marvelous results for allergy and chronic sinusitis sufferers.

Helpful to both adults and children, Oasis nasal spray and wash can help restore and maintain the health of your nasal passages.  The recommended dose is two to three sprays, twice a day. Oasis encompasses the healing properties of the Dead Sea to offer allergy and chronic sinus sufferers an alternative solution to their misery, without causing dependence.

New from Master Solutions: Oasis Nasal Spray and Oasis Nasal Wash

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Chronic Rhinosinusitus (CRS) affects an estimated 14% of the U.S. population each year.1 This illness, which often lasts 12 weeks or more, causes nasal inflammation that can lead to coughing, headaches, dental pain, halitosis, fever and fatigue. Oasis nasal products have been designed to combat CRS naturally without the use of antibiotics, steroids, antifungal medicines or antihistamines. In a problematic market where many nasal medicines have been proven addictive or to have side effects (many children’s products have been taken off of the shelves by the FDA), Oasis Nasal Spray and Oasis Nasal Wash break new ground as safe and proven solutions.

CRS is caused by the disruption of the mucus membranes from allergens, dust particles and fungi. The cilia, which cover the surface of cells in the nasal cavity, become blocked. This impedes sinus drainage and increases the risk of microbial overgrowth and infection.2 Inadequate drainage also leads to increased pressure and pain.

Antibiotics are often used to treat CRS, though extensive studies show no advantage over placebo in treating the illness.3 Oral corticosteroids, decongestants and antihistamines provide some symptomatic relief, but do not address the cause the inability for the cilia to discard the mucus that is protecting the infection from the body’s natural defenses.4

Oasis products set themselves apart from other products by treating the cause of CRS without interfering with the immune system. Irrigation of the nasal mucosa with Oasis Nasal Wash facilitates the removal of mucus secretions and cleanses associated nasal tissues of bacteria, viruses, fungi and allergenic debris.5 This process also results in significant reduction in histamine concentrations for up to six hours after administration.6
Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist Scott Cordray (D.O., F.A.O.C.O.) from Master Solutions has helped to create Oasis Nasal Spray and Oasis Nasal Wash by utilizing the healing salts of the Dead Sea. Several studies have shown Dead Sea salt solutions to work markedly better than sodium-saline solutions.7-9 The Dead Sea’s salt content has proportionately more magnesium and less sodium than any other natural source.10 High magnesium salt content has proven to be far superior to sodium salts when treating a multitude of skin irritations.12, 13 In addition, evidence shows that low magnesium levels in the blood are synonymous with high histamine levels and abnormal bacteria growth.14

In 2007 nasal washes, mucolitics and decongestants combined gross sales of over 1.9 billion dollars. While decongestant and mucolitic sales from 2006 to 2007 remained fairly stagnate, nasal wash and spray sales have climbed rapidly.15 Oasis products have arrived in time to take a large share of this market.

The 2008 allergy season approaches. It is time to get the word out about the remarkable effectiveness of the all natural Oasis Nasal Spray and Oasis Nasal Wash. The research is vast, the evidence clear: there is no better cure, over the counter or prescription, for Chronic Rhinosinusitus than Oasis nasal treatments from Master Solutions.
